Sales Support Specialist

Metropolis Roasterie, Chicago, IL

Metropolis is a fourteen-year-old, small batch, specialty coffee roaster, retailer, and wholesaler. Our mission is to make people’s lives better through coffee. Metropolis is seeking a highly motivated, results driven sales support specialist to help us grow our wholesale book of business. This will be a full-time position located in Chicago, IL.

Desired Qualifications

  • Develop and grow Metropolis Coffee’s wholesale accounts through cold outreach, sales networking, and creative strategizing
  • Manage a sales pipeline and report on progress, provide metrics, and forecasts to management
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Managing the process of onboarding new wholesale customers

Work Ethic

  • Passion for coffee, prior knowledge of the industry, or a willingness to learn
  • Coachable and able to take direction
  • Team player who is able to work collaboratively to close deals
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • Experience in sales and negotiation a plus
  • Willing to make daily cold calls (in person, via email, and on the phone) to generate leads
  • Able to organize and maintain a sales pipeline, with daily updates
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in the foodservice industry a plus
  • Office coffee/distribution knowledge a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to present and demo coffee and tea products
  • Valid driver’s license
