Early Morning Accounting/Customer Service Assistant

Our Accounting/Customer Service Assistant works with the accounting and customer service teams to provide consistent and exceptional service experiences for our wholesale and web customers from ordering to invoicing. In this role you will be a point of contact with customers and other Metropolis team members to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders, service requests, and various other inquiries. Your goal will always be to exceed customer expectations!

Specific duties:

- Create customer invoices and estimates

- Correspond with customers regarding accounting inquiries

- Assist Accounts Receivable department with customer payments

- Assist Accounts Payable department with recording vendor bills and filing vendor invoices

- Assist Customer Service team with answering incoming calls and emails, handle all orders and customer service related communications directly; and escalate or redirect other inquiries to the appropriate parties as necessary

- Assess customer needs and concerns, following through to final resolution and customer satisfaction

- Other administrative duties as assigned

- Precise attention to detail in all tasks

- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Quickbooks

Ability to solve problems, multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, chaotic environment

- Experience in accounting

- Experience in specialty coffee preferred



This is an early morning position with a regular schedule occasionally requiring additional hours/days dependent on busi-ness needs. This position will start off as part-time, but can quickly transition to full-time based on performance. Compen-sation is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive hourly wage, paid time off, partially-subsidized medi-cal, dental, and vision insurance, and company-provided short-term and long-term disability coverage and life insurance.
