Welcome to Brew Diligence, our at-home coffee education series.
Many of us are finding ourselves brewing more coffee than usual at home, or digging deep within our cabinets to bust out The Coffee Maker That Time Forgot. Giving your brewer a deep clean will keep it running smoothly and keep your coffee tasting its best.
NOTE:Â This method can also be applied to Keurig coffee makers. Follow the steps without a pod in place.Â
Supplies:
Distilled white vinegar
Dish soap & water
If the carafe is still dirty, there are a few ways to clean it further. Either add vinegar and allow to soak overnight, or try a commercial coffee cleaner like Joe Glo or Cafiza. After using any kind of cleaner, wash with soap and water, and rinse thoroughly before use.
Now let’s get brewing! Visit our shop to replenish your coffee supply.
