Keep your coffee in the bag it came in, or an airtight container, on the counter or in the cabinet. If it’s going to be awhile until you open the bag, go ahead and put it in your freezer. Once you open it, keep it at room temp.
Don’t put your coffee in the fridge. Your fridge is for beer and mustard, of course.
Hardly any. Really. We promise. We use two decaffeination processes. The water process uses only water and pressure to remove the caffeine. Or the sugarcane process, which uses a natural solvent made from sugarcane to remove the caffeine. We never use the chemical process decaf.
Absolutely nothing! There isn’t a particular plant that produces espresso beans—they’re all coffee beans. Our Redline Espresso Blend™ makes delicious espresso and a great cup of coffee. Don’t let labels limit you.
Nope. Not at all. The only thing you’ll find in your bag of Metropolis coffee is freshly roasted coffee beans. The flavors we list on the bag are just the most agreed-upon flavor notes our team picks up while tasting the coffee. While the coffee may remind us of certain flavors, it doesn’t mean you won’t notice something different. Our flavor notes are merely there to help you pick a coffee you’ll love. Submit a review to let everyone know what flavor notes you detect!
Once you open the bag, we’d encourage you to finish it within a couple of weeks for best results, but it won’t spoil if you don’t. It just won’t taste quite as good.
This is a rabbit hole, but we’d encourage you to invest in a burr grinder over a blade grinder. A burr grinder lets you grind consistently, and a uniform grind is critical to an even extraction, making for a more delicious cup.
