Single Origin Release: Nicaragua Jesus Mountain

This lot is from Cerro de Jesus or Jesus Mountain Farm which lies on the second highest peak in Nicaragua. The farm is about 700 hectares in size, 400 of which is set aside for forest reserve. In the last year, Jesus Mountain Farm began working with Cafetos de Segovia, a micro-mill and export company in the region run by the Albir sisters (Martha and Ana) who, aside from tending to their own farm, have invested in milling coffees for other area producers. They’ve focused their efforts on separating lots of coffee by variety and are committed to sourcing coffees with transparent and socially responsible connections to Nicaraguan farmers. This lot is a subtle crowd-pleaser with a solid, smooth body and subtle honey sweetness.
