I was uncertain if a non-Nespresso pod would work, but it definitely does fit in my Essenza Mini, and makes a higher quality espresso than the proprietary pods! I’m converted. Very glad I can buy these directly from Metropolis.
I’ve always been a fan of Metropolis Coffee. I was thrilled when they released these biodegradable Nespresso pods! They are just as delicate and rich as the whole beans.
Nespresso pods are hard to find in Keurig-land... but these new ones from Metropolis absolutely rock. Quick, convenient, and compostable. I used to pay far more for comparable ones from a New York-based roastery, but now I can support a local business. To boot, the coffee in each pod is fresh, strong, and La Cordillera tastes as good as ever. It's chocolatey, nutty, caramel-like, and smooth; good in a latte or topped off with hot water as an Americano. So psyched at this new product offering!
I don’t know how they are because I didn’t get a chance to taste them. I purchased the wrong pods, but I love Metropolis so I know they’re delicious.

I feel less guilty about using my Nespresso machine now that I'm also supporting one of my fave local businesses. They smell wonderful, are beautifully packaged, and taste amazing in my morning latte. Much smoother and less acidic/burnt-tasting than some of the Nespresso capsules I've been using.
