The other day, we set out a tasting at our roasterie for a group of a dozen epicureans. We put out coffees from all over the world, light roasts, dark roasts, single origins, and blends. We had fruity floral coffees, dark and smoky coffees, simple profiles, complex blends, and everything in between. Not sure why we bothered. Turns out they like Spice Island, Just like everyone else. I mean, they liked the other stuff too, but if they had to pick one for an eternity on a desert island? Yep, it would be Spice. Served at many of the finest restaurants, hotels, and cafes around Chicago and elsewhere too.

Spice Island has been our Go To for years. Every now & then we branch out and experiment, but keep coming back to this blend which is pretty much perfect.
My favorite coffee to grind at home. Spice island and Granville blends are mint. Shipped fast.
Love the Spice Island blend, it’s our go to. We get the 5lbs bag so we don’t run out of our favorite.
Metropolis's dark roasts are the best. They're flavorful without being too bitter. In fact, no matter how strongly I brew this, it isn't bitter. I don't know how they do it. The flavors reminds one of caramel and it does have a bit of spice to it, though it's not dominant, fortunately. You can't go wrong with this one!
